AA in Macon Georgia

Statement of intent

The intention of this site is to provide information about AA in Macon Georgia, and to make sobriety accessible for all.
It is to be hoped that this site will fullfill a need by making the local Macon & middle Georgia AA information easily found by people in Macon GA, and people coming into the area, and by providing a venue to get the word out about our planned events.

Meeting house pages are planned. All Middle Georgia (sobriety) clubhouses are invited to submit information, pictures of the clubhouse, directions, names of the groups that meet there, and event flyers. Groups are also invited to present a summary of the group schedule, group focus and where they meet. Does your local clubhouse already have a website? Send the link, it'll be added to the links page.

There's a contact page to submit information, also the forum may be used for this purpose. Send flyers, and they will get their own page.

Our Stories

Linda's Story (found from the links page) discusses what it was like, what happened, and what it's like now. Does anyone care to write up their story and have it posted on this site? There's a section in the AA big book composed of people's experiences. Our stories are a very important part of how it works.

It's Official!

As of july 1 2007 this site was "offically" recognized as the on-line voice of Macon Georgia AA.
The first order of business is to decide on a domain name. Under consideration is: macon georgia aa.org (without the spaces), macon-georgia-aa.org, aa macon ga.org (without the spaces) and/or aa-macon-ga.org Thoughts? Considerations? The thoughts of the aa community is very important. Please post in the forum or write us from the contact page.
